Good morning, my dear teachers and friends! My name is Li Bingke, from class four O five. Today, I am very happy to be here. My topic is “Our School”.My dear friends, welcome to our school! My school is very beautiful!
It has a big playground. We can play and do some sports there. Near the playground, there is a garden. Many trees and flowers are there. So the air is very clean and we can hear birds singing in the trees. It is so wonderful. Our teaching buildings are around the garden and look like our teachers’ arms to welcome us. We can draw pictures in the art room on the first floor and read story-books in the library on the second floor. My classroom is on the third floor. It is clean and bright. We like to study in it.
The computer room is on the fifth floor. We can sing and dance in the music room on the sixth floor. What a lot of fun! We can have lunch in the canteen near Defang Teaching Building.
In our school, our teachers work hard and help us with our lessons. We study hard and listen to teachers carefully. After class, our teachers play with us and we feel very happy.Our school is so nice and our teachers are so kind. We all love them.

Huamei School is a international school. So today I want to talk about some differences between east and west.
What are the major differences between Chinese and western ?I wonder how many things do we know about the difference between west and east? Although I can’t tell you exactly , I want to talk about it in the following three parts. They are food, dressing and living styles.First, food. In China, we prefer noodles, rice , as the main course. We like cooking a lot of delicious dishes, We sit together, and taste the dishes together, , when we eating ,we like chatting and laughing, But in England or other west countries, people like eating hamburgers, chips, pizza, pasta as their main course, they eat them with vegetable saladSecond, dressing. In China, we prefer colorful clothes, we dress them in different place, but we don’t make up; But in west countries, people dress according their visiting places, in daily times, they often wear casual clothes, but if they go to a formal places , they often wear suits, ladies wearing beautiful dresses, pretty hats.
No matter how old the ladies are, they always make up.Third, living styles. Chinese prefer getting up early and go to bed early too. Children often go to different spare schools to study. They seldom go to work during the weekend.
That’s the differences I know. I And I believe that “East or west , home is best”.

大家好！首先感谢你们在百忙之中抽出宝贵的时间来参加我们的家长会，单从这点就可看出你们对自己子女的关心和对我们学校工作的支持。事实上孩子们的学习确实离不开广大家长的支持。
今天我想就三年级的英语教学与诸位共同探讨，以更好地帮助孩子学好英语，用好英语，为日后的英语学习打好扎实的基础。
三年级英语，是小学英语学习中一个重要的起步阶段。教材和中学教材已经进行了衔接，而很多家长还以为“小学英语并不重要，到了初中还会从ABC重新学习，以后再抓吧。”这是一种错误的`思想。有时就因为家长的这种态度影响了孩子对英语的学习态度，所以造成英语成绩两极分化十分严重，有的100分，有的只有二、三十分。所以请家长一定要从现在起重视孩子的英语学习，不然到了五六年级补都来不及了。
为了提高孩子们的英语学习兴趣，我在课堂上注重寓教于乐，使孩子学得轻轻松松。在我们学校，英语老师的课务量很重，一个老师要教三个班级，除了上课，光批每天的作业就已经够忙的了。但为了真实了解学生的学习情况，我还是让每个学生利用下课时间到我那里进行过关背诵。
可是，每个班总会有一部分不自觉的学生不能按时完成作业、不能背诵课文、不做回家作业、更不能默写课文的单词……开学一个多月了，为了让孩子有个适应过程，我教得很慢，照理说有足够的时间可以课课过关了，可是出乎我意料的是有几个同学连第一课几个句子都不会背。考试竟然还有相当一部分同学出现不及格现象。了解下来才知道那些孩子在家里从来就不做英语回家作业，从来就没有听英语磁带，也没有背课文和单词。对于三年级来说，英语成绩90分也差不多是正常的范围，毕竟题型还是相当容易的。所以那些不及格现象怎不让人担心呢？
英语是一门特殊的学科，光靠学校几节课时间是远远不够的。在学校老师会尽最大的努力进行教学，但课余时间还需要广大家长大力配合。如：听录音、背诵要家长多督促；每课的单词（课文B部分）这是基础之基础，得督促孩子先背诵并试默，直到默对为止。这样课堂上默写的时候，正确率才能高，可有相当一部分同学回家默写就抄一编，也没有家长签名，在老师的本子上却一直是默零分。这个问题希望家长能关注一下。为了协助孩子更好地学好英语，请家长配合老师完成以下工作：
1.确保孩子每天至少边听录音，边跟读课文15分钟，要读出声音，最好家长在旁监督，会更有效。
2.每天检查孩子的回家作业是否完成，保证第二天能按时上交。
3.英语单词默写要家长签名（注明默写），一定要确保是默写的，而不是抄一遍交差的。
4.预习作业就是通过听录音跟读后会读课文和单词（A和B部分），家长签名可以在课题旁签上已预习等。背诵的作业则签上已背。
说了这么多，希望我们向着共同的目标：支持并帮助孩子踏踏实实地学好英语。
