In recent years， the global warming gets increasingly attention. More and more people make contribution to stop the global warming. Therefore， a new lifestyle occurs——low carbon life. What can we do to live in low carbon？
First， remember to turn off lights and turn off the faucet when you do not need to use. Use the energy—saving lamps. There are many small things we can do to save resources. Second， when we go out， take public transport as much as possible， to reduce gas emissions and to ease the transporting pressures.
All in all， there are many other things we can do to live in the low carbon life. It needs us to do something practically. If everyone can keep this lifestyle from now on， it will greatly change the situation and our home would bee more beautiful.
Today's society is a highly developed technological society. However， the shortings in the development process are obvious， such as： carbon dioxide， and environmental pollution. But the most serious should be the carbon dioxide problem.
Now the problem of global warming because of excess emissions of greenhouse gases. Excessive amount of carbon dioxide emissions， creating a diversified economy and La Nina phenomena lag disorder. Two levels of glaciers melting， polar animals lose their chance of survival at the same time， will lead to rising sea levels， many coastal cities into the water did not result in a few years later. Therefore， we must take the necessary measures to reduce the environmental impact of carbon dioxide. From Joozone.
For example： tree—planting activities， reduce fossil fuel use， we can from our own， to promote low—carbon living.
each and every one of us is responsible for the greenhouse gases we emit in our daily actions and choices. therefore， combating climate change is going to take the combined efforts of everyone on the planet.
the average household carbon footprint in china is 2.41 tons of carbon dioxide annually. that's enough to fill half an olympic swimming pool.
surprised？ well， here's how you can work to reduce it：
1.get started by calculating your own carbon footprint. this will give you a starting point from which to begin monitoring your progress. you enter details such as what sort of apartment you live in， your personal energy use and travel habits.
2. each week， choose one day when you don't eat meat. meat uses up lots of energy because it takes a long time to produce. animals produce methane， which is another dangerous greenhouse gas， when they burp and fart.
3. only buy the amount of food you need and if there are leftovers， get creative. for instance， make them into a soup. ask to take food home from restaurants if there's some left， but remember to take your own container to avoid using a disposable carton.
Currently，my school is launching an activity whose theme is that actions change the world to advocate the low carbon living.
In the activity，we are required to go to school or some other place by bike or by foot as much as possible instead of by bus.And when the Christmas es，sending e—greeting cards instead of tridional cards of which are made of wood as we know.Besides，we should use both sides of every piece of paper and we should save water as well as electricity.
I believe that only we do thus can we have a better living environment.
Now we are facing two problems of global warming and a shortage of natural resources， both of which are getting more and more serious day by day. Thus， it is important for us to promote a low—carbon lifestyle.
Low—carbon lifestyle covers many aspect of our life like transportation， traveling， home—heating， and so on. In order to promote a low—carbon life， some plans must be carried out as follows. Firstly， don’t waste any electricity and water. Remember to turn off the lights and water taps unless we use them. Secondly， we had better take the subways or bus to work， so as to reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide. Thirdly， we should use cloth bags for shopping instead of plastic bags， and use recyclable bowls and chopsticks instead of disposable ones， for it can not only save resources， but also reduce pollution. What’s more， it is of great significance to plant more trees， since trees can balance the carbon dioxide emissions.
In a word， if we live a low—carbon life from now on， we will have a better environment and more resources left for our descendants.
