　　那一天，我看到了这样一个场景：高三4班，一个还曾在上学期的课堂上，东张西望，“左右逢源”的大男孩，今天，静静地坐在课桌旁，认认真真地读完型填空，很负责任的写下了一个又一个答案;自习课上，我再也没有见到他“只看不动笔”的情形，相反，他边思索边计算，他就是高三(4)班的吴胜旭;我这还有一个他，他不喜欢英语，更不喜欢我这个英语老师，这是我的感觉，前几天，他居然拿出了英文词典，逐个查阅单词，我笑了，笑得好甜好美，在心底乐开了花!他就是陈兴。同学们!我要告诉你的就是你点点滴滴的改变真的能带给我们无限的快乐!我坚信，在这87天里，我们一定能收获满满的幸福与快乐!

　　Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. It is my honor to be here to present my speech to you about the role of humanism in today’s technologically advanced world.

　　What’s the role of humanism today? At the first sight of this topic, I felt that I had a vision of walking along a dark passage to our destination, an ideal harmonious society. Humanism, is a lighthouse on this way to guide us in case we are getting lost, together with modern technology, we are well on our way toward our destination.

　　Like other young men, I love the internet. To be honest, I could not imagine a life without internet, which is a blessing taken by high technology. To some extent, it represents the whole world to me. I have registered some accounts on MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, Renren, Weibo and so forth. It’s really amazing because these network technologies make it possible for people all over the world to communicate with each other freely and conveniently.

　　However, there are two sides to the argument, so what of the internet. While it could lighten our life, it could also turn into evil. It started with some of these arguments—well, it is argument at first—then the situation seems out of control: people start to curse and scold each other just because they have different opinions. People became more and more aggressive, seditious, and insulting, and later on, with the “Human-flesh searching” involved, the situation gets even worse. Those are what we called “Network of violence”， they are still happening, and still going on.

　　It seems like that the internet frees us from the burden of our public identities so we should be our true, authentic selves online, except it turns out—who wouldn’t see that coming—that our true, authentic selves aren’t that fantastic.

　　The reason we define ourselves as human is because we have some natural instincts to care for and respect other people. In other words, we are pursuing the universal brotherhood, a peaceful world of free minds. It is humanism that keeps our society moving on and on.

　　As one of the most important inventions in our time, internet has changed the way of our life tremendously. It has changed the way we express and communicate with each other. It has made it possible for us to meet each other without distance; it has made it easier for us to know and to comprehend each other.

　　However not only some changes has it brought, but also brought on some challenges. Net has anarchy in its DNA, It’s always been about anonymity, playing with your own identity and messing with other people’s heads. It is a challenge, it challenges our self-discipline that we are proud of, it challenges our humanity that we are proud of. Sure technology promises us more freedom but it doesn’t mean that we should leave our civilization behind.

　　That’s why we need a guideline to light up our path, to lead us. In this technologically advanced world, what we need to do is to avoid the misuse of technology, but to take it as an accelerator, a lube or a navigator on our high way to create a better world, a harmonious society.

　　So don’t ever forget our aspiration, and always have faith in humanism, and we are going to make it happen, in this technologically advanced world! Yes! We can!

　　首先，我先说一下孩子们的学习表现。这个班的英语，我是从三年级就一直带着的，学生们都是在同一起跑线上学习进步的，经过两年来的学习，学生与学生之间的学习表现不一，拉开了一定差距。一些学生学习兴趣浓，学习劲头足，课堂上思维，踊跃发言，课后及时巩固，形成了良性循环的好势头。他们的学习习惯好，在听、说、读、写方面都能齐头并进，我为他们感到欣慰。可也有一些学生，平时学习马虎，基础不扎实，得过且过，兴趣不浓，书面作业拖拉不交，口头作业根本不完成，如此一来，学习自然成了件头痛事，麻烦事，学习成绩一直提不上去。其实，大部分的学生还是处于中间层次，老师所教的，所布置的作业能基本完成，但学习的效率又因人而异，存在着个体差别。尽管他们平时不需要老师操太多的心，费太大的力，但说起各方面的表现，又总有一丝遗憾，我们教师和各位家长的心情一样，总希望他们能再上一个台阶，能学有所成。

　　怎样帮助孩子学好英语呢？家长和教师如何共同帮助孩子学习成长呢？老师自然是最直接的知识传授者，有着不可推卸的责任，但家庭教育至关重要，你重视了，你付出了，孩子们自然会学有所成，你松懈了，你不管了，孩子的学习自然搞不好，在此，我呼吁我们的家长多配合学校，多配合老师，靠我们共同的努力来帮助孩子学好英语，和孩子共同成长、共同进步。

　　我认为，英语学习并不难，难就在于没有一个好的家庭教育环境，没有养成好的学习习惯。我们要在以下几个方面加强对孩子的学习教育。

　　一. 要给孩子们营造宽松的学习环境。

　　首先是学校的学习环境。我们老师在英语教学过程中，尊重每个学生，保护他们的自尊心和积极性。创造各种合作学习的活动，推动学生互相学习，互相帮助，体验成就感，发展合作精神；关注学习有困难的或性格内向的学习，尽可能地为他们创造语言的机会；建立融洽、民主的师生交流渠道，经常和学生一起反思学习过程和学习效果，互相鼓励和帮助，做到教学相关；加强对学生学习策略的指导；引导学生在学习过程中，进行自我评价，并根据需要调整自身的学习目标和学习策略。孩子们在学的轻松，学习的主动性、自觉性不断提升，我们给学生营造了宽松的学习环境。

　　第二是家庭的学习环境。每位家长一定要关注孩子们的学习，多鼓励，多给孩子们营造宽松的家庭学习环境，不能不管不顾，放任自流，不能无原则打骂孩子，要针对孩子们的学习表现，多和学校老师沟通，多和孩子们沟通，共同帮助孩子改正缺点，树立信心，培养孩子们学习兴趣。

　　二.要重视孩子们不错学习习惯的养成

　　1.让孩子多听、多想

　　首先是加强听力训练和说话训练，然后才是读写能力的培养。听说能力差，用英语进行交际的能力差，为此，家长一定要配合学校来要求孩子，要创造条件让孩子多听，多听纯正的录音，听几遍、听清楚了以后，跟着说，从小培养孩子的听觉，为将来打好基础。

　　2.让孩子多说、多练

　　家长要每天让孩子多读英语、多多练习说话，要鼓励孩子大声地朗读、对话、问答，大声说，不害羞，这样有利于清楚地表达自身，培养信心，能力，敢说、多练才会学好英语。

　　3.让孩子熟练背诵课文和单词背诵

　　这是一项基本功，可以积累一些日常用语，到用的时等候就可以脱口而出。但在背诵过程中要讲究方法，不可操之过急，要注意分散和集中相结合。我们一般是分段教课文，那就可以请学生分段背课文。等快教完的时候，再把课文串起来背，这样可以降低一点难度，让学生背得轻松些。但在检查过程中，我们发目前一些学生背得相当熟练，可问他课文中的某个词组或句子的意思时，他却一问三不知。因此，我们在背诵过程中要注意上下文的理解，在理解的基础上达到背诵的要求，课文中涉及到的相关词组和句型，要让学生熟记，并能用它们来造句、说话。在具体的实施过程中发现：有些学生根本不用心学，能偷懒则偷懒，很多家长比较负责会查问有没有教新课，要不要默写，但孩子不老实，欺骗家长。这时候，你应该及时跟老师联系，做好沟通，让孩子知道：欺骗不是办法，也会受到相应的惩罚。

　　单词亦是如此，分散记忆、根据读音记忆单词都是可取的方法。有时，我们回家布置抄写单词，其目的不在于抄，而在于提醒学生记忆这些单词。但在日常学习中，学生不重视这项作业，认为只是抄抄而已，不做也没什么关系，其实他连抄写都不做，根本别说是去背了，结果几次下来，他应付不过来，学习处于被动状态，从而影响了以后的学习，出现退步现象。因此，请大家在家里督促孩子保质保量地完成英语作业，该读的读、该说的.说、该写的写、该记的记，及时巩固，养成不错的习惯。父母亲的不错榜样起着较大作用。孩子一般还没有明确的学习目的，这时，父母亲对学习的态度，特别是行为，会极大地影响孩子。你要让你的孩子知道，要善于学习，勤于学习，要多掌握知识，为了明天的成就，把握好今天的学习。

　　一、树立学习英语的信心

　　俗话说，自信是成功的第一步。自信心对于孩子的英语学习尤为重要，因为小学生的英语侧重于听说，说占有很大的比例。平时的跟读、回答问题、唱歌、游戏、对话、表演都要用到“说”。假如孩子一开始便没了自信心，怕出错误，不敢开口说，那么他的英语就无从得到练习，也便不会有进步，而且会越学越没劲。所以树立良好的自信，说英语，用英语，不怕犯错误，是学好英语的第一步。在学习过程中，要对孩子多一些表扬和鼓励，只要孩子有点滴进步，都要及时表扬，让她有成就感，家长如果经常表扬鼓励孩子，孩子一定会有出色的表现。

　　四、每天自觉地听录音、朗读、背诵、记忆，孩子放学后完成的作业，我都会检查督促。听写、默写、抄写的作业，复习、预习作业也不容草率。每一项作业我都会认真检查，并签字。复习是巩固知识，预习对于下一次老师要讲的内容心里有了大概的眉目，能起到抓到重点的作用，提高学习效率。

　　五、家长要经常积极主动的和老师沟通，通过和老师的沟通既可以及时了解自己孩子在学校的学习情况，能够有针对性地要求孩子巩固学得不够扎实的知识，也可以了解孩子在学校的行为习惯方面的情况。毕竟我们在家里看到的`孩子只在在家里的一面，在学校的表现我们是看得不全面的。

　　XXX英语学校的教学形式新颖活泼，一些赏识教学，情景教学让孩子们都很喜欢，也让我们做家长的耳目一新。在这里，我看到孩子变得更加自信、活泼，英语学习兴趣也越来越浓厚，学习积极性也越来越高。

I think of farmers talking on their mobile phones, discussing the weather patterns, the cost of food, community news and events. They even talk about Steve Jobs. The train to Lhasa, itself a wonderful engineering feat, brings modern medicine and education to these remote areas. The communities are now interlinked and connected, one of the most basic human needs.

　　Human beings have a need to be connected, to be safe to be cared for in times of trouble and hardship.

　　The development of technology must be guided by these needs. If this is not so, then the development of technology is in the hands of mean and, greedy people. The focus of technological development would be wars and weapons, fraud the misuse of information, and the exploitation of people, such as cheap labor.

　　It can only be humanism which provides the guidance we all need for a better world.

　　we all know famous indian poet once said, "life is given to us, and we earn it by giving it." as the saying goes, nature is given to us, and we earn it by contributing to it. however, most people nowadays just want to ask for more from the nature. in fact, they do very little contribution to the nature. therefore, the environment around us is becoming worse and worse.

　　do you often use batteries? then do you know it takes 50 times more energy to make them than they produce? and just one simple battery can pollute as much water as a person can drink in his whole life. the facts and figures are amazing. so would you please try to use batteries only when it is necessary? if possible, give the used ones to the recycling companies so that they will be made into new ones and won’t be able to pollute the environment any more. sometimes we become complacent when it comes to recycling, but when you speak in terms of actual facts and figures that everybody can understand, people become much clearer about the problem.

　　we, as school students, can also join in recycling activities to protect the environment. for example, our class set up a recycling center beside the back door, it is very useful. it is used to collect the waste paper and plastic bottles. in the past, our classmates used to throw all of these into the trashcan. at the very beginning of this collecting activity, it was not so warm-welcomed. later, more and more people were influenced by the others and joined this collecting activity. gradually, all the students in our class form a good habit to protect the environment. all of us will now put away the reusable things instead of throwing them into the trashcan.

　　we should always remember in our mind that protecting the environment is our duty that we can never neglect. finally would you please let me end this speech with a little poem, "be kind to the river. be good to the trees. smile at the sunshine, and bow to the breeze. be friendly to nature, and nature will be friendly to you!"

　　on a saturday morning. i went to have breakfast. i felt there was a terrible smell and went over to have a look carefully. i found that there was a big pile of banana skins giving out the then a young fellow holding a dustpan rubbish to walk towards here 。 he raised his hands, the big pile of rubbish was here. at once i went to him and said "uncle ， you can’t do like this 。 these things will rot very soon. it’s bad for our health and make the people fall ill." however ，the man said "everyone does so ，who falls ill,who will see the doctor."

　　looking at this ， i remembered another act : there is a stream through our village. over it there are two bridges the age of seven years old ， i enjoyed the beautiful scenery under the bridge very much. it was the best place to swim in summer. but now the rubbish was getting more and more leaves,fruit skins,dead ducks and chickens…。

　　after rotting ，not only the mosquitos flew around but also the bad smell made everyone feel quite gh the stream was cleaned up several times, it’s still happening now. a lot of plastic bags always float on it summmer we have to go far away from the village to swim.

　　what causes this? who is the devil?it’s the human ourselves. i have got to known from a book rubbish in the countryside mostly occupies the fields and damages the earth’s surface pollutes soil,wave ，atmosphere and damages our health. the adults often say "the body is capital." but why are they able to make woollen cloth like this ？ does it affect everybody’s safe and sound life ？
