　　lhasa is the mixture of tradition and fashion.

　　firstly, lhasa has a long history. it is the political, cultural and economic center of tibet. it has lots of famous sights to offer. the potala palace is the most famous, a magnificent and wonderful place to look at. in my opinion it is a unique artistic achievement of the tibetan people. likewise, the architecture, carvings and paintings throughout the city show hard work, wisdom and bravery of our people.

Not long before about 10 Doctors in Beijing university and Qinghua unversity announced that we should reject the invasion of western holidays ,because they regard western holidays as an challenge against our traditional festivals and kly speaking, I don’t quite agree with ed, we should never neglect or even discard our traditonal festivals as China boasts a brilliant history and splendid traditions. (examples) why can’t we absorb the meaningful western holidays and culture.

　　There are obvious reasons why some western holidays are so popular in China. On the one hand, some of the western holidays which we Chinese don’t have are reasonable and meaningful, such as Father’s Day and April Fool’s Day etc. On the other hand,the prevalence of globalization enables western culture to prevail in China. Overwhelmed by such a trend,Chinese unconsiciously get involved in western holidays and culture.

　　When I mention the word "maths" some adjectives will come to mind, boring, difficult and complicated. But I think maths is very interesting. It is used almost everywhere in our life and also related to art and music.

　　We all know one geometrical concept, the golden section. It's very important in painting, sculpture and architecture, such as the Parthenon in Athens and the Venus de Milo. In nature a little pentagonal flower has its golden section. It looks beautiful.

　　What about its connection with music? Lets take a look at a straight and tight string. Pluck it, and then halve its length, then pluck it again. The sound we hear is the same note but a higher frequency. The Greek mathematician Pythagoras discovered this law and it developed into the musical scale we know today.

　　Another example is from the famous composer, Bach. It's a very interesting maths problem. We call it a paradox.

　　As a man who owns a family, i also have to take care of my family. Still, it isn’t that easy. Since i took the job 10 years ago, i haven’t had enough time to be with my family. so many festivals have i spend with microphones, but not my family and friends, just because my job needs me. So many times have my wifecomplained about my returning home late and having meals outside often, just because my job needs me. And so many times, my mom or dad is sick in bed, but i cannot be there with them in time, just because my job needs me. I even seem to be able to see the happy smiles on their is my job, though i cannot enjoy much of the happiness my family brings to me, i can experience the sense of responsibility through my work.
