I take with me the memory of Friday afternoon ACM happy hours, known not for kegs of beer, but rather bowls of rainbow sherbet punch. Over the several years that I attended these happy hours they enjoyed varying degrees of popularity, often proportional to the quality and quantity of the accompanying refreshments - but there was always the rainbow sherbert punch.
I take with me memories of purple parking permits, the West Campus shuttle, checking my pendaflex, over-due library books, trying to print from cec, lunches on Delmar, friends who slept in their offices, miniature golf in Lopata Hall, The Greenway Talk, division III basketball, and trying to convince Dean Russel that yet another engineering school rule should be changed.
Finally, I would like to conclude, not with a memory, but with some advice. What would a graduation speech be without a little advice, right? Anyway, this advice comes in the form of a verse delivered to the 1977 graduating class of Lake Forest College by Theodore Seuss Geisel, better known to the world as Dr. Seuss - Here's how it goes:
My uncle ordered popovers from the restaurant's bill of fare. And when they were served, he regarded them with a penetrating stare . . . Then he spoke great Words of Wisdom as he sat there on that chair: "To eat these things," said my uncle, "you must excercise great care. You may swallow down what's solid . . . BUT . . . you must spit out the air!"
And . . . as you partake of the world's bill of fare, that's darned good advice to follow. Do a lot of spitting out the hot air. And be careful what you swallow.

This is the general secretary of Xi jinping ?s Chinese dream. But as a contemporary college students, what is our Chinese dream? Can we dare to dream?
The answer is yes. We college students have no dare not dream, we not only need to bravely dream, but also hard to dream! As we all know, the highest honor of the nursing field is get the Nightingale prize. Each of years china had more or less people gotten this honor. Whenever I see the time that they wearing a silver medal and holding flowers standing on the podium to getting applause and glory, I couldn't help of imaging myself standing on the stage like them in future, that could be how glorious. This is my dream, my dream of Nightingale?s.
And I, a new era of college students, I am proud of my dream, proud of our motherland. When the dream into reality, in a era which let the youth realizing their ideal, I believe my dream will be realizing in the near future!

If we can speak English well,we will have more chance to succeed.Because more and more people have taken notice of it,the number of the people who go to learn English has increased at a high speed.
But for myself,I learn English not only because of its importance and its usefulness,but also because of my love for it.When I learn English, I can feel a different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world.When I read English novels,I can feel the pleasure from the book which is different from reading the translation.When I speak English, I can feel the confident from my words.When I write English,I can see the beauty which is not the same as our Chinese...
I love English,it gives me a colorful dream.I hope I can travel around the world one day. With my good English, I can make friends with many people from different contries.I can see many places of great intrests.I dream that I can go to London,because it is the birth place of English.
I also want to use my good English to introduce our great places to the English spoken people,I hope that they can love our country like us.
I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well.
If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. So I believe as I love English everyday , it will love me too.

these are words of the song bye-bye. every time when i hear it, i’ll always lose myself in grief recalling the tough time we came through in 2008.
the snow storm, the tibet sue, the obstruction to the olympic torch relay，the earthquake??time dates back to the day the horrible earth quake occurred in sichuan, tens of thousands of people lost life and families. i’ll never forget those days i sat front of the tv, moved by people never gave up under ruins even there’s little hope to survive. i’ll never forget those days most newspapers and websites were all in black and white. i’ll never forget those days i had my black coat on, writing down my best whes to the suffering people.
at the same time, i also remember those days my friends abroad told me that they joined in the protest against western world’s bias on china and the fight against the tibetan separatts. i can still remember the day when i went to see the torch relay at hangzhou with heart shaped stickers on cheek. i wore the t-shirt with words light the passion, light the dream . when the torch passed by, we cheered go china, go beijing, sang the national anthem again and again, waving flags, dancing, hugging, clapping. it was the opening ceremony of 2008 beijing olympic games which shocked the whole world and told the entire human yes, we can.
yes, we can, because we are united and brave
yes, we can because we have trust and love
yes, we can because we are the member of the great nation china

health very important in our life.if you want to have a happy life,you must have a healthy lifestyle.do you know how we keep in good health?let me tell you.
everyone knows a good eating habit very important for us .but not many people have time to think about what to eat .in many western countries.fast food very popular.because people dont have time to eat,and they also think fast food very delicious.in america,an american can eat about three hamburgers and four bags of french chips every day.that 2520 calories.but we know a person need about only 2000 calories for a day.so you see , many americans are very fat. we should have a good eating habit at once.what should we do?
people always say,an apple e day,keeps the doctor away.drinking milk also good for us.and we need a balance of yinand yang.its a traditional chinese way to keep healthy.we shouldnt eat too much unhealthy food like junk food.now , i will tell you what food are best for our health . eggs have too much protein , you know protein good for kids.and tomatoes have too many vitamins , its good for everybody.oh , soybean , carrots , seafood , green tea ,pawpaw , oranges , strawberries and so on are also healthy food . please eat more these kinds of food!
we know that exerce also very important . exercing can make children more alert . there are many ways to exerce . you can run , swim , skate or play ball games like basketball , volleyball , football and golf . but maybe you dont know walking also good for our body , and maybe its better than other sports . you should exerce in the morning , because you can enjoy fresh air then . some people like exercing at fitness centers , there are a lot of equipments . you should exerce for 20 minutes every day . dont exerce too much . its bad for us!
and a good sleeping habit good for us , too .before we go to bed,we should drink some milk, it can help us sleep well.but i know some people always cant sleep well.i think they shouldnt, take a sleeping pill . after evening meal , they should go for walk or have conversations with their family or lten some light music . maybe these activities can make them than sleep well.
happiness lies first of all in health .now , you must know many things about healthy lifestyle . if you want to have happy life , you should have a good eating habit , exerce every day and sleep well . so i wh everyones life getting hathier and heathier ,happier and happier , more and more wonderful!

My name is Li Mei and my English name is lucy. I’m 15 years old. I’m a student in a very beautiful school called Liangbing Middle School and I am in Class 1 Grade 7.My hometown Liangbing is also a beautiful town.
I’m very happy and I like to make friends with others. I also like singing but traveling is my favorite, I have been to many interesting places in China but I haven’t been to other countries. What a pity!
At school, I study Chinese,math, English, history, politics and so on. I like all of them. I often help my teacher take care of my class and I think I am a good helper. I live with my parents and we go home on time every day.
When I am at home, I often help my mother do some housework and my mother said I am a good helper, too. My mother is a barber.She cuts hair very well.She is kind.Many people like her. she often teaches me the way of learning well, if you want to learn English well, here is some of my advice. The word 'friend' has many meanings. It can be a partner, a playmate as well as a confident. In all, our friends play an important role in our lives.
Maybe you will ask me 'What is friendship? '.some people say that friendship is a ray of sunshine in the dark. Friendship can make you away from darkness and can cheer you up at the same time.
Based on this, you may come up with another question 'Why we need friendship? '.We everyone needs friendship. No one can live alone. As life is full of difficulties, we need friends to support and help us out. Our friends give us warnings against danger. Our friends offer us advice with regard to how to deal with various situations. True friends share not only happiness, but also sadness.
As an old saying goes, a friend in need is a friend in deed. Fortunately, I have a true friend. She is not beautiful but very kind. Every time I met with problems, she gave me courage and confidence to overcome
difficulties. When I was in low spirits, she told me some funny jokes to cheer me up. When I caught in distress , she rushed to me to lend a helping hand. All these make it easy to stay with her. But every time when I greatly thanked her, she disappeared in the crowd.

大家都知道，英语是一门国际性的语言，尤其是中国已加入了wto，学英语对我们来说是格外必要的。但是你可能会问：“如何才能提高我们的英语呢？”那好，接下来我便给大家说一说提高英语的捷径。
首先，你应确信你已在发音技巧和语音方面下了很多功夫。否则，你将会闹出很多笑话。例如“我可以借一下你的自行车吗？”而你说成“我可以借一下你的后背吗？”“请递给我那个箱子”而由于你的错误发音，竟说成“请给我一个吻吧。”很显然，在这两个句子中你读错了“自行车”和“盒子”这两个词，而对方也就自然误解了你的意思。另外，语调的不同也可表达着不同的感情，举个例子：伦敦桥塌了！伦敦桥塌了！我的'夫人！（声音高昂，表示高兴）伦敦桥塌了！伦敦桥塌了！我的夫人！（声音低沉，表示悲伤）
其次，大家都知道：熟能生巧。当你在说英语时不要怕犯错误。一方面，没有人会不犯错误的。另一方面你可以从错误中总结教训，所以千万不要害羞，脸皮厚一点地大声说出来！
最后，为了能够达到成功的顶峰，我们必须要有耐心。无论怎么说，学英语总是要花费时间的，所以你必须要有足够的勇气和一颗“永不言败”的心。要牢牢地记住这句名言“罗马不是一天造成的！”

The word honor is often associated with admirable career success, brilliant academic achievement, great social contribution and high position.
When speaking of honor, one has images like yang li-wei, jackie chen or learned scholars like the honorable judges here. it is true that these people are worthy of admiration. but how about those who are around us, who contributes to the society in different ways, completing their everyday task with devotions but remain unknown? are they far from honor? should they only clap hands for the people on the stage? shouldn't they also deserve respect from us? i don't think so.
Honor wears different coats to different eyes. i would like to take miss zhang, a primary school teacher, for example. she has been teaching english for more than 30 years. countless students have learnt the first english letter from her and become interested in this language because of her enlightenment. so many years have passed and miss zhang is still an ordinary primary school teacher without any prize, flowers or honorable titles but in my eyes she is the very person who deserve honor and respect. every time i stand on the winner's box, i couldn't help thinking of miss zhang. i owe my success in english and my gratitude to her. 毕业论文 http://www.lw54.com
